2009 Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI)

In July 2008, the Federal government passed the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act to improve beneficiary quality of care and safety. One way to achieve this is through a Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI) which reimburses physicians based on their meeting specific quality and safety measures.
